  1. I bought this camera for my daughter and she found it a week later in Best Buy for the same price but 10 megapixels. What a deal!! But the camera itself is great.

This is it. It was easy for me to set up and I’m 61, so anyone can take pic’s with this camera. Point and shoot, it’s great. If you want more control of your pic’s you can get high tech also. Great camera

  4. I bought this camera new back in 2008. The camera worked fine for the most part. My only complaint with the camera while it worked was slowness and poor color quality for indoor shots. The main problem with the camera overall was that it just didn’t last. Within two years it stopped working entirely. I sent it in to Panasonic for repair. They said it couldn’t be repaired. They charged me $90 and sent me an inexpensive reconditioned FS7 as a replacement. I sent it back and wrote a letter to the corporate office requesting a refund of my $90. I spent the next two months talking to incompetent Customer ‘NO’ Service reps who half listened to my concerns and did nothing. They either passed my complaint off as someone else’s problem or promised to get an answer for me and never called back. Then after going to the trouble of returning their camera and spending about two months trying to deal with countless Panasonic reps, they sent me the same camera that I had just returned to them, back to me a second time. HUH!!!! Can anyone explain that to me? Panasonic really needs to put some effort into improving their customer service practices. They may make some good products, but never have I ever dealt with such an incompetent, disorganized and apathetic company. I finally gave up and turned the matter over to my credit card company.

the camera is fine. the lens cover which is supposed to open and close is a total, miserable failure. after having the camera a month or two, it doesn’t close well enough to store safely, nor open enough to take a picture. i have to use toothpicks or my pocketknife to move the cover when it gets stuck. do a little googling to see more commentary on this issue, which is also present in other panasonic models.
